Your Ward 2 Councillor Candidate
Mom | Dog Mom | Neighbour | Lawyer | Local Business Owner

I'm out knocking doors across our ward with neighbours and friends who live here too — while Pluto (my dachshund) guards the house, loudly.
Here's what I'm working on.
Lower the tax squeeze
The infrastructure levy is legitimate; deferring maintenance just borrows from our children. It's the service enhancements stacked onto the base budget I want to examine — line by line, with a lawyer's eye on the contracts.
The full tax picture →Protect our waterfront
I'm not against these homes existing. I'm against them all landing on the one part of Burlington whose infrastructure was never built to carry them — while the GO station lands, where the Province actually directed our growth, sit underused.
Where growth should go →Ease the traffic squeeze
Lakeshore and Brant are the worst bottlenecks in the ward. When arterial capacity is squeezed the traffic doesn't evaporate — it moves onto Elizabeth, Locust and Pine, where the children are.
The mobility plan →Downtown is still zoned
under the old rules
Burlington has been writing a new zoning bylaw. Most residents assume it's finished. It isn't — and the part that isn't finished is the part under the heaviest pressure.
That gap is why we keep negotiating from weakness at the Land Tribunal. I read bylaws for a living. This is the fight I'm best equipped for.
✓ Residential zoning — in force 2 March 2026
By-laws 09-2026 and 10-2026. Appeal window closed with no appeals filed. Our neighbourhoods have modern rules.
✗ Downtown & mixed-use corridors — still Zoning By-law 2020
The old framework, written for a plan that was cancelled. No completion date has been published.
✗ Commercial & employment lands — still Zoning By-law 2020
Including everything a data centre application would be assessed against.
Tell me what's on your mind in Ward 2
There is no reason to wait until I am elected to start listening. If something in Ward 2 or across Burlington is on your mind - a road, a development, a service that is not working - I want to hear it. It shapes what I raise and what I push on.
It takes a minute, and it comes straight to me.
Share what matters to you →No form letters and no autoresponders. A real message to a real person.
Come and ask me something hard
That's what these are for. No script, no handlers — just coffee and whatever's on your mind.
